FEATURED SPEAKER
DR. NELS LINDBERG, DVM
LEADERSHIP COACH, PUBLIC SPEAKER, ENTREPRENEUR, AND VETERINARY CONSULTANT
Dr. Nels is a KSU alumni, and is known for his expertise consulting for the beef and cattle industries. The veterinary practice he is the senior partner in, Animal Medical Center, is based in Great Bend, Kansas with five veterinarians and a rockstar team of professionals that care for pets, cattle, and equine patients from all over Central Kansas. He is also a managing partner in Production Animal Consultation, a national and international based protein consulting firm that consults over 25% of the cattle on feed in the United States. Beyond the standard feedlot consultation as a veterinarian, he works to dive deeper into the people aspect of the feedyards he consults, because for most, this can be their biggest recurring daily challenge. In addition to building a reputation as a leader in the veterinary industry, Dr. Nels is a sought after public speaker on business, life, and leadership, and a leadership and business coach. He coaches entrepreneurs and multiple organizations beyond feedyards and veterinary practices, from farming operations to municipalities. He is also a founding partner in multiple other businesses working to provide his people growth and development skills, leadership practices and development, as well as tactical and strategic thought processes to those partnerships. Most notably recently, he launched his first book, "The Ultimate Real World Guide to Hiring and Firing". Dr. Nels and his wife, Karen, have a set of twins, Nash and Mackenzie, and enjoy visiting the lake, attending K-State sporting events, and volunteering in their church. Dr. Nels has been recognized as a KSU Veterinary Medicine Distinguished Alumni, KVMA Veterinarian of the Year, and the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce NextGen Leader of the Year.
